There have been several threads (Aug 1, Aug 8, Aug 18) asking about recent changes in tokens - no free puzzle, and some games earn less than they cost to play. I haven't seen an explanation about how tokens are calculated. Can someone explain please, or point me to a previous thread that answers it.
Thank you.

Hi Mo,
I checked this out and the daily game is still token free to play (despite also appearing in the archives). I have also just played the daily Quick Crossword to test and it worked fine... Started with 412330 tokens, received 11 in the game and my total sits at 41241.

Hi McTroy,
We get the points for the crosswords of the day without having to pay 5 tokens but if we play any of the trivia and memory games every game, including the first game of the day, we have to pay 5 tokens.
For example I played: Quiz Time and earned 9 tokens but only received 4; Mag Match and earned 6 tokens but only received 1; Quizzard of Oz and earned 7 tokens only to receive 2.
We used to be able to play the first game, or the 'game of the day', free.

I play number games like Adoko, Kakuro, and Ripple. There used to be a button saying 'play free'. A little while back someone explained how the points were calculated, and the multiplier which increased your points if you did several things right in a short time. I wondered how the tokens were calculated. (This may also have been explained, I don't often come on the forum) I find that on the easy number games I only earn about 2 tokens, so my total dips. The other game I play is code cracker and it's easy to earn 10 tokens on that, so my tokens are staying stable, where they used to rise.
Not that I'm worried - they were going through the roof. Just wondered how they were worked out.

Ah, I've just played Karuko, pressing the Play Online button. Earned 3 tokens, and total went up by 3. So it is free.
