Hi Team whilst doing Code Cracker this morning the Nissan ad that appears along side kept deciding to move over onto the actual puzzle so that I could not see which letter was to go where. On 2 occasions it actually caused the puzzle to close and my computer was taken back to my home page. This is really frustrating (plus a few other expletives I can think of). When I hid chat it seemed not to encroach as much unless I inadvertently moved my mouse over it. I know you have to advertise guys but when it interferes with ones enjoyment of a puzzle it seems to defeat the purpose of the ad being there. Can this be fixed? Thanks, have a good one. Deb

This ad was doing the same thing to Ripple Effect the other night and I assumed that it was a form of aggressive advertising. Although it has a close button it wouldn't go back to the original size for ages and on one ocassion took me through to their web site. I abandoned the puzzle eventually and along with many expletives vowed never to consider buying a car with the Nissan name on it. Is this called reverse advertising?

Hey, steady on LOL! I just bought a second hand Nissan. Nah, I think it's a matter of the ad's set up, but yes, it can be annoying.

Thanks for concurring guys, although it doesn't appear that anything will be done about it. It makes me wonder that if they can intrude on our space in the puzzles like this why can't they utilise the same space to make manouevering around Giant much easier, it must be achievable!!!lol. Glad to see you "car shopping" stan rather than "cleanathon shopping". Happy puzzling.

Hi all...
We’ll have a look at the ad in question and see what can be done. Sponsored advertising is necessary so YouPlay can continue to provide an entertaining site, however, it shouldn't impede on one’s ability to puzzle!
I think the problem with this one, if I am correct is the video component which jumps out right?

Hi McTroy
We know you have to advertise otherwise we wouldn't be able to enjoy this incredible site. However, my question regarding extra space on Giant is still not answered. If you can place advertising in every puzzle why isn't there enough room for the clues to be separate to the grid??
Don't get me wrong, this isn't a complaint just a question about the logistics of the Giant format.
Cheers Deb

Hey deb,
Dr. Play is probably the best person to answer this, the giant query... but basically I think it is to do with the overall size of the game/clues within the flash file. That is, the ad sits outside of the game, and the game itself takes up as much room as is available in the flash file...
I'll get Dr. Play to correct me here if I'm wrong =)
